Why is this blog called 81% (eighty one percent) the UK is made up of 4 main parts (counties) England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland.
81% of the UK population is made up of People in England, Yet England IS NOT represented by it's own Parliament. Why?
The Colony of American went to war & won independence over the very matter over representation & taxation. Their rallying cry was" No-Taxation, Without Representation"
The only way forward is to give us 81% the right to govern ourselves. If we are not, the UK as a nation will break-up.
Once there is an English Parliament, then we can set up a UK parliament, say somewhere in the Middle of the Country.
BTW: the Ordinance Survey Site says the exact centre of Britain is: http://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/SD8111 http://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/SD8111">
It would be interesting for Bury to be the New Capital of Great Britain.
But lighthearted comment aside, this is a serious issue. We do need action.
But I would like to know what the rest of the UK think, I will not edit any post (unless it is vulgar, racist or advocating illegal action) & I will allow & and all views on the matter.
So come on, post a comment.....

I support this idea - in fact I have previously stated it in similar words on this blogsite and elsewhere.
Although I think the alternative of an English Parliament in the geographical centre of England, with the UK parliament remaining in London also has some merit and might be easier for politicians to agree on.
